After months and months of searching the net for the best entry level DSLR, i finally decided to buy my very first DSLR...CANON EOS 450D (US version).
Ever since i was a kid, i always dreamed of becoming an artist. First, I wanted to become a pianist, i tried learning the piano at home (well, it was my sister who was actually being trained), i'm on the other hand was just a "saling-pusa". Well, at least i have advanced to Grade 1 in my piano lesson, self-study actually (uhuh! thanks to my sis who willingly shared what was taught to her). Then, i gave up, i was really having a hard time reading the notes and tempos. The only piece, a very simple piece that i was able to play was "Let me Call you Sweetheart". hahaha. So i decided to do some sketch work. Very first sketch work? a portrait of my long time high school crush. Yes! I was able to sketch him without his picture at hand. (so inspired?) I told my self, maybe I should enroll in a charcoal painting class, but I was at that time still in college, so i was kinda "nahihiya" to my parents to ask them for an additional budget for my "extra curricular activities". So, i tried to forget all about it and eventually, i graduated from college and got myself a job.
But my thirst, did not end up there. I continued to search on what i really wanted to do aside from my current job (Persistent huh!). When my son was born, i just can't keep my eyes off him and wanted to record every detail of him, every moves, every smiles, every cries, every moment of his life. I was so thankful i have a camera phone. I was able to capture all those moments...(but not quite satisifed with the result, i need a good quality photos!!!). That was the beginning...
It's like everything has fallen into the right places... A friend of mine gave a contact where i can buy the cheapest deals on DSLRS...and voila, I got the camera i was dreaming of...and the art suited for me...

wow, I can relate! I studied piano too when I was a kid, did sketching, learned keyboards, and is now interested in photography. hope I can get myself a DLSR soon.
Really! But aside from photography, i want to try my hands and feet on drums! Yeah, just like those great drummers out there.
Let's get rollin'...
Luz, I share the same sentiments. I am a failed artist. I have the talent, but it was undeveloped. Pity that I wont be able to build a career on what I loved doing most. Regrets are there but life has to move on.
I envy you, but im happy knowing that you already found a medium to release your artful self, which is in photography.
Goodluck on your career and Godbless you.

Everyone is into Photography. Making a name in this field is tough, but I have to try...
Good luck to me!!!
The happiest people are those who do what they love doing and get paid doing it.
We can be one of those people. It may not be now, but we can work on it. It won't be easy, but it's not impossible. Never give up on the dream. AJA!
Wow, really? I'll be looking forward to that! AJA!
